Initiative Origin: The Native American rights group, NDN Collective, has launched the Collective Abundance Fund to support Indigenous communities.

The grant program will start accepting applications from March 1, providing an opportunity for individuals to secure financial support.

According to NDN managing director Gaby Strong, the fund aims to promote long-term stability, healing, and cultural abundance within Indigenous communities.

Eligible individuals in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota can apply for grants up to $50,000 from a $7.9 million fund.

Applicants must reside in specific regions, including the United States, Mexico, Canada, Borikén/Puerto Rico, and certain U.S. Territories.

nterested individuals must complete a registration form by April 17 to be considered for the grant. The deadline for grant consideration is April 24.

The grants are designed to empower Indigenous peoples to strengthen their lifeways, livelihoods, and cultural assets for sustained well-being and prosperity.
